Hotel, restaurant reopen as Four Points in Eastlake

The former Radisson hotel in Eastlake has reopened as a Four Points by Sheraton.

The renovated hotel, at 35000 Curtis Boulevard next to Route 2, features 143 guest rooms, 16,000 feet of dining and meeting space, Firelake Bar + Grill, as well as a new fitness center, according to a news release. Around $14 million worth of renovations were made to redesign the hotel building.

“We modernized everything,” said Four Points Director of Sales and Marketing Julie Mock. “All new electrical, heating and cooling, carpeting, decor — everything.”

According to Mock, the decision to renovate the hotel was accompanied by an overall re-branding to Four Points by Sheraton, a Marriott hotel brand.

“The ownership bought the hotel back in 2015,” she said. “We just decided to re-brand it. The decision to make it from a Radisson to a Four Points was the ownership liked the Marriott affiliation.”

Eastlake Mayor Dennis Morley said one potential benefit of the hotel was its availability for traveling business people.

“They’re opening a restaurant back up,” Morley said. “And then one of their goals is to get corporate people to stay there while they’re doing their training in the area, so that always works. That’s a good spot right there on the freeway for people to go and stay.

“The renovation’s phenomenal.”

In addition, Four Points is near Eastlake’s Classic Park, 35300 Vine St., home of the Lake County Captains. Vine Street itself contains other commercial locations and is planned to be a major development focus for Morley in 2019.

Mock sees the reopening as a chance to improve guest experiences and accommodate group events.

“With the newly remodeled hotel, the timeless classic design embodies our commitment to providing an experience worth talking about again and again,” Mock added. “We’re excited to see the reward from all the efforts of the past year. Setting itself apart from other venues, the hotel’s unique features are perfect for groups from family reunions and sporting teams to executive meetings and wedding receptions.”

According to Mock, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at Four Points in Eastlake on Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. There will also be an open house to showcase the hotel between 5 and 7 p.m.
